NID Tracking is a Broker's Division that will assist you with all the information needed with regard to Satellite Vehicle Tracking in South Africa. In the case where a satellite tracking device needs to be fitted into your new or existing vehicle, for the purpose of your short term insurance policy, our NID advisor will assist you with all the arrangements. Installation can even be arranged at your own home should it be necessary.

In terms of your short term policy a Satellite Vehicle Tracking device needs to be fitted into all vehicles that exceed the purchase amount of R200 000.00.

This needs to be done within 7 working days from the date of application and/or purchase. The NID advisor will work in close relation with you, the client, your insurance company and/or your broker. An installation certificate will be issued to you, the client, of which a copy will be sent to your insurer and broker.

Please note:

In the case where a Satellite Vehicle Tracking device was fitted to a vehicle that was not required in terms of your short-term policy, an application can be made to your insurer for a discount premium on such a vehicle, on presentation of your installation certificate.
